INTERNATIONAL SOFTWARE ENGINEERING

AI engineering designed for real production workflows.

Integrating a language model is the beginning, not the delivery milestone. We scope AI applications around grounded retrieval, permitted actions, measurable evaluations, cost controls, and the people responsible when the system is uncertain.

Common priorities

  • An internal assistant searches approved company knowledge using retrieval-augmented generation with permissions enforced outside the model.
  • A Python or Node.js application adds structured LLM outputs and controlled tool calls to an existing business process.
  • A support workflow needs assisted drafting, human review and escalation instead of unmonitored autonomous customer actions.
  • An AI proof of concept must be assessed for hallucinations, data exposure, latency, operating cost and reliability before rollout.
STEP / 01

Define acceptance and data access

Specify user tasks, sensitive information, permitted tool actions, quality metrics, red-team scenarios and fallback behavior with the process owner.

STEP / 02

Build an observable integration

Design retrieval, model gateway, structured outputs, tool authentication, rate limits, budget boundaries and explicit approvals where actions affect systems or customers.

STEP / 03

Evaluate before expansion

Create task-focused test sets, inspect groundedness and failure patterns, measure latency and cost, and use monitored releases with feedback mechanisms.

01

Technical scope

Feasibility assessment and evaluation rubric for a clearly defined AI business use case.

02

Working agreement

Architecture and integration plan for model APIs, Python services, retrieval, tools, permissions and logging.

03

Delivery safeguards

Launch checklist covering human oversight, regression evaluation, operating costs, data handling and rollback triggers.

Questions to resolve

  • What task-level evidence demonstrates the output is useful and safe?
  • Can the model disclose information or trigger actions beyond the user’s actual permissions?
  • How do we detect regressions after changing prompts, tools, retrieval or model providers?
Do you train proprietary large language models?

This offering focuses on AI software engineering and integration of existing models and tools. Training a foundational model is not implied. Any custom-model or fine-tuning scope would need separate feasibility and data review.

How can an AI agent access company tools safely?

Sensitive actions should be authorized by the application, not merely described in a prompt. Use scoped credentials, allowlists, server-side policy checks, audit logs and approval steps proportional to the possible consequences.

When is retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) useful?

Retrieval-augmented generation can help when answers depend on maintained company knowledge. It still requires source quality, access controls, citation evaluation, freshness checks and fallbacks for unsupported answers.

Can you promise hallucination-free responses?

No. A responsible deployment measures error rates, supports abstention and review, and limits actions according to impact. Product owners should agree on acceptable risk and intervention paths.
